Brian Lawler is the camp director and has worked with hundreds of athletes from almost every sport imaginable to improve their speed and to help them reach their fullest potential. He has conducted a number of speed camps in the area and is a speed consultant for various local sports teams including the Carolina Ghostriders Arena Football Team, the Asheville-Buncombe Youth Soccer Association and Highland Football Club, and the Asheville Rugby team . Athletes have also sought out his services to help them prepare for the combine.
He presently is the Director of Sports Performance Enhancement and is a sports physical therapist at Blue Ridge Bone and Joint. He obtained a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Duke University in 1993 and is board certified in orthopedics. He also has a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion with a concentration in performance enhancement and injury prevention from California University of Pennsylvania. He is a certified athletic trainer and has worked with a number of professional minor league sports teams, including arena football, ice hockey, and soccer. He was the team physical therapist for the Charleston Swamp Foxes Arena Football Team. Locally, he has worked as an athletic trainer with the Asheville Smoke Hockey Team in 2001-2 and with Asheville High School from 2001-4. He also has a special interest in ACL injury prevention and conducts knee and ankle injury prevention clinics for female athletes. Brian is a certified strength and conditioning specialist with NSCA, a performance enhancement specialist with NASM, and an Olympic lifting club coach with USAW.
